RIRS (Flexible Laser)

Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery. A flexible scope goes up the urinary tract to blast kidney stones into dust using laser. No cuts required.

For Kidney Stones < 2cm

Mini-PCNL

Keyhole surgery for large kidney stones. A tiny puncture (pencil size) is made in the back to remove large stone fragments.

URSL (Ureteroscopy)

Is Endourology painful? +

Most procedures are virtually painless post-surgery because there are no external cuts. Mild discomfort during urination may persist for 1-2 days.

How soon can I go home? +

For RIRS and URSL, patients are usually discharged within 24 hours. For Mini-PCNL, a stay of 2 days might be required.

Will the stone come back? +

Surgery removes the current stone, but recurrence depends on your diet and water intake. Dr. Chetan will provide a diet chart to prevent future stones.
