Laparoscopic Surgery View

Precision Without the Incision

Traditional open surgery requires large cuts (incisions) to reach the kidney or prostate, leading to pain, scars, and long recovery times.

Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Surgery changes everything. Dr. Chetan Sharma performs complex surgeries through 3-4 tiny holes (0.5 - 1 cm) using specialized cameras. This provides a 10x magnified view, allowing for extreme precision that is often not possible with open eyes.

  • ✔ Less Blood Loss

Common Laparoscopic Surgeries

Removal of a non-functioning or cancerous kidney through keyholes. Used for kidney cancer or severe infection.

Pyeloplasty (PUJ Obstruction)

Repairing a blockage at the kidney outlet (PUJ) to restore urine flow and save the kidney function.

Radical Prostatectomy

Removal of the entire prostate gland for Prostate Cancer treatment with nerve-sparing techniques.

Cyst Deroofing

Removal of large, painful kidney cysts that cause pressure or pain in the abdomen.

Ureterolithotomy

Removal of very large, hard stones in the ureter that cannot be broken by laser alone.

Why Choose Laparoscopy?

Cosmetic Result

Tiny scars that are barely visible after healing, compared to large open surgery marks.

Faster Recovery

Walk within 24 hours and return to work in 1 week (vs. 6 weeks for open surgery).

Less Pain

Significantly reduced post-operative pain means less reliance on painkillers.

High Precision

The camera magnifies nerves and vessels, making surgery safer and more accurate.

Common Questions

Is Laparoscopic surgery safe? +
Yes, it is extremely safe. In fact, due to the magnified view, the risk of bleeding is often lower than open surgery.
How many cuts will I have? +
Usually, there are 3 to 4 small cuts, each about 0.5 to 1 cm in size. They heal very quickly.
Can large tumors be removed this way? +
Yes. We disconnect the tumor or organ laparoscopically and then remove it through a slightly extended incision or a special bag.
