A New Lease on Life

For patients suffering from Kidney Failure (CKD Stage 5), a transplant is the gold-standard treatment, offering a far better quality of life than lifelong dialysis.

Dr. Chetan Sharma leads the Transplant Unit at Deenbandhu Hospital. We are equipped with state-of-the-art Modular Operation Theaters and dedicated Transplant ICUs to ensure infection-free recovery for both the donor and the recipient.

  • ✔ Laparoscopic Donor Surgery (Minimally Invasive)
  • ✔ Strict Infection Control Protocols
  • ✔ Ethical & Transparent Legal Process

The Transplant Journey

A systematic approach to ensure safety and legal compliance.

01

Evaluation & Matching

Detailed health checkup of the recipient and donor. Tissue typing (HLA) and Cross-matching are done to ensure the new kidney won't be rejected.

02

Legal Clearance

Submission of documents as per the Human Organ Transplant Act. We guide you through the ethical committee approval process.

03

The Surgery

Simultaneous surgeries. We perform Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomy (Keyhole surgery) to ensure the donor recovers in 2-3 days.

04

Post-Op Care

Recovery in our specialized Isolation ICU. Monitoring of graft function and setting the dosage for immunosuppressive medicines.

Why Choose Deenbandhu?

Infection Control

Our Modular OTs with HEPA filters minimize infection risks, which is critical for transplant success.

Affordable Care

World-class transplant facilities at a fraction of the cost of corporate hospitals, making care accessible.

Common Questions

Who can donate a kidney? +
A healthy immediate relative (parent, sibling, spouse, or child) between 18-65 years of age with a compatible blood group can donate.
Is it safe for the donor? +
Yes. Donating one kidney does not affect the donor's long-term health or life expectancy. They can live a completely normal life with one kidney.
How long is the recovery? +
Donors are usually discharged in 3-4 days. Recipients stay for about 7-10 days for monitoring.
